CHICAGO — Northbound drivers on Nagle Avenue will be blocked at Peterson Avenue until a sewer project wraps up sometime in July, officials announced.

Crews broke ground Monday with a mission to connect two major sewer lines at the intersection, according to Gary Litherland, a spokesman for the city's water department.

Drivers going north on Nagle will be detoured onto Bryn Mawr and Milwaukee avenues, officials said. Meanwhile, southbound traffic on Nagle will be narrowed to a single lane at Peterson.

The work is expected to take between six and eight weeks, Litherland said.
