Jermaine James, 35, Stabbed To Death In Chatham, Officials Say

CHICAGO — Jermaine James, 35, was stabbed to death in Chatham on Sunday night, officials said.

At 11:48 p.m., the man was in the 400 block of East 79th Street when he got into an argument with another man, police said. The other man took out a knife and stabbed the 35-year-old multiple times throughout his body.

James, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 12:08 a.m. Monday at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The attacker ran away and no one was in custody, police said.
