ROGERS PARK — If you love cats — big and small — we've got the apartment for you.

Rogers Park's hard-to-miss leopard print house at 1623 W. Estes Ave., which also features a Burberry-esque tartan porch, has listed its top two floors on the market as a single-unit rental apartment for $2,100, according to a listing on Domu.com.

The two-story apartment is offered with the option of furniture included and has four bedrooms, one bathroom and a large kitchen and living/dining area, according to the listing. The building features a backyard, gardens in the back and front, free laundry in the basement and an available parking spot in a detached garage for an additional $125 per month.

Homeowner Michael Riley shared the story behind the kooky paint job with us in 2013:

"There were six people living in the house when we first moved in, and they wanted me to paint," said Riley, an artist, appliance repairman, electrician and carpenter by trade. "And so everyone had their criteria that seemed somewhat difficult to reconcile — and the only thing we could all agree on was leopard print."

So back in 2002, Riley said he got to work. Only the leopard print turned out to be a cross between that and a cheetah print, and now it looks more like a giraffe print.

Regardless, he said, "The children love it."

Despite the unique paint job, Riley said it's sometimes hard to live up to what people expect from the exterior.

"People may expect more from us than we’re capable of doing, in terms of pizzazz," he joked.
