ANDERSONVILLE — After 26 years on Clark Street, Pars Persian Store will close in June.

But don't expect the space at 5252 N. Clark St. to remain vacant for long, according to store owner Cyrus Haghighi.

"As soon as they heard I was closing, they were all in line," Haghighi said, referencing potential new tenants for his storefront.

Haghighi said his reasons for closing are twofold: running the store has become increasingly expensive, he said, and he's also planning to retire.

The store, which specializes in teas, spices, herbs and gifts, is currently holding a clearance sale to offload its remaining products.
