UPTOWN — Roger Park's Marchanta will host a pop-up taco shop at the Lawrence House's neighborhood bar Larry's this week.

From 6-11 p.m. Thursday, Marchanta's Tona Palomino will be serving up tacos for the first of a summerlong food series at the bar, 1020 W. Lawrence Ave., according to a press release from FLATS Chicago.

Palomino is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute and has worked at Jean Georges restaurants and WD-50, but tacos are his first love, according to the release.

Thursday's menu includes:

• 2 poblano tacos, rice and beans ($8.50)

• 2 pork tacos, rice and beans ($9.50)

• 1 poblano taco, 1 pork taco, rice and beans ($9)
