CHICAGO — Robbers have targeted women walking alone during two recent robberies in Edgewater, police said.
During the robberies, one or two boys or men walked up to a woman walking alone, pushed the woman and took her property before running away, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
The robberies occurred:
• 9:30 p.m. April 24 in the 5500 block of North Kenmore Avenue
• 3:20 p.m. May 6 in the 1000 block of West Foster Avenue
The robbers were described as black boys or men who were 15-21 years old, 5-foot-5 and weighed 120-130 pounds, police said. They wore dark-colored hooded sweatshirts.
