CHICAGO — James Jacobie, 19, was shot and killed in North Lawndale on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
At 2:47 p.m., the man was in the 3800 block of West Ogden Avenue when a black car pulled up to him and two men got out and fired shots at him, police said.
The victim was hit in his head and chest and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Jacobie, of the 1900 block of South Komensky Avenue, was pronounced dead at 3:11 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The shooters got into the car and drove away, police said. No one was in custody.
