CHICAGO — A report of smoke in the subway Downtown caused the CTA to stop and reroute trains.
Chicago Fire Department officials responded to a report of smoke in the subway and said there was no fire. The CTA temporarily rerouted subway trains to the elevated lines between the Fullerton and Cermak stops on the Red Line.
