CHICAGO — A 20-year-old man was shot and seriously wounded in Austin on Tuesday, police said.

At 5:58 p.m., the victim was in the 4800 block of West Gladys Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said. The man was hit in his right arm, his chest, his abdomen, his back and his buttocks.

The man was takento Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody.

No additional details were immediately available. Police originally said the shooting happened in the 300 block of South Cicero Avenue.
