ALBANY PARK — Police have issued a community alert to warn residents of Albany Park about an incident of child sexual exploitation.

According to the alert, about 4:15 p.m. on Monday, a 14-year-old girl was walking home from school when a man called her over to his car at Gunnison Street and Sacramento Avenue.

The suspect asked the girl to look at something he was holding, and when she leaned over, she saw the man wasn't wearing pants and was masturbating.

The teen ran away, and the suspect drove south on Sacramento.

The man is described as Hispanic, about 30 years old, with a brown complexion, short black hair and a patchy beard. He was wearing a blue-and-white short-sleeved collared shirt.

Anyone with information about this incident should call Area North detectives at 312-744-8261.
