3 Lakeview, Uptown Burglaries Could Be Connected, Police Say

CHICAGO — Three Friday morning burglaries in Lakeview and Uptown could be connected, police said.

The burglaries occurred within the span of an hour, with a thief or thieves smashing a window and shattering the glass on a front door to get inside the buildings, police said. In one burglary, the building was not locked.

The burglaries occurred:

• 4:06 a.m. in the 3900 block of North Ashland Avenue

• 4:54 a.m. in the 2800 block of North Broadway

• 5:08 a.m. in the 4400 block of North Broadway

No one was in custody, and no description of a suspect was immediately available.
