LOGAN SQUARE — Logan Square Neighborhood's big annual fundraiser is coming up.

Now in its ninth year, the "I Love Logan Square" fundraiser, which doubles as a neighborhood party, is set for 7-11 p.m. May 5 at Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, 4048 W. Armitage Ave.

Like past fundraisers, there will be a live auction with "dozens and dozens of unique neighborhood-specific prizes," along with local food and beer, according to the organization.

This year's theme is "sanctuary," which aligns with the organization's sanctuary school mission. Local artist Norma Rios Sierra is creating a monarch butterfly pinata for the occasion.

All proceeds from the event will go toward the organization, which prides itself on working to support "all of our neighbors — especially the long-term immigrant families, for whom Logan Square has been home for decades."

Tickets cost between $25-$95 and can be bought online.
