Uptown, Lincoln Park Businesses Hit By Group Of Burglars, Police Say

CHICAGO — A group of three men burglarized Uptown and Lincoln Park businesses four times last week, police said.

During the burglaries, the thieves broke the businesses' glass doors to get inside and stole cash and cigarettes, police said.

The burglaries occurred:

• 6:05 a.m. Thursday in the 4100 block of North Clarendon Avenue

• 10 p.m. Friday-5:30 a.m. Saturday in the 4100 block of North Clarendon Avenue

• 5:45 a.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of North Lincoln Avenue

• Between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of North Clybourn Avenue

The thieves were described as black men who were 25-30 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot and 185 to 200 pounds, police said. They were possibly driving a gray Dodge wagon with a broken passenger-side window.
