IRVING PARK — For everyone frustrated by all the items that aren't accepted in the city's Blue Cart recycling program, Horner Park has the one-day answer to your prayers.

Like some waste management equivalent of Lady Liberty, the park will collect, and recycle, the wretched refuse of residents' teeming trash piles Saturday as part of its Earth Day celebration.

Bring your tempest-tossed electronics; expired and unused prescription drugs (no liquids); books; clothing and shoes; and plastic containers and bags.

Horner Park will welcome them all from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot at California and Belle Plaine avenues.
