BRIDGEPORT — Mi Lindo Mexico Market, a new grocery store and butcher shop, will open Saturday at 538 W. Pershing Road in Bridgeport.
The grand opening event will include free drinks and tacos.
The family behind the store has been a wholesaler for more than 10 years, according to Vanessa Rodriguez, the market's manager. With the influx of new residential buildings in the neighborhood, Mi Lindo Mexico Market will offer a storefront for locals to buy meat products and other groceries.
In addition to beef, seafood and chicken, the store will sell everyday food items like milk, yogurt and cheese. Prepared traditional Mexican food, including carnitas and tripe soup (called menudo), will be sold on weekends.
