CHICAGO — A 47-year-old woman was shot with a BB gun and robbed in Humboldt Park early Wednesday, police said.
At 1:43 a.m., the woman and a man were walking in the 600 block of North Spaulding Avenue when two men walked up to them, police said. One of the men took out what looked like a handgun and told the woman and man to give over their property.
The second man went through the victims' pockets and took a small amount of money from them, police said. The two thieves ran away, but as they were leaving the man with the gun pointed it at the woman and fired.
The woman was hit in her arm and she and her friend ran to her home and called 911, police said. The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, was told the wound was from a BB gun.
No one was in custody.
