CHICAGO — Tywan Anderson, 23, was shot to death and another man wounded in North Lawndale early Sunday, officials said.

At 2:27 a.m., the two were standing in the street in the 1300 block of South Fairfield Avenue when someone fired shots at them, police said.

One of the men was shot in his head and back and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

Anderson, of an unknown home address, was pronounced dead at 2:57 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

The other man, 19, was hit in his left hand and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
