CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in South Chicago on Thursday, police said.
At 3:22 p.m., the man was in front of a store in the 2300 block of East 83rd Street when another man walked up and fired shots, police said. The victim was hit in his head and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
The man was later pronounced dead, police said.
The man was identified as Arsennial Allen, of the 6800 block of South Jeffrey Avenue, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The shooter got away in a blue car, police said, and no one was in custody.
