WICKER PARK — Shakespeare District police are warning residents after a string of robberies Saturday in Wicker Park and Bucktown.
In the three robberies, men robbed pedestrians on the sidewalk and then "hit and kicked the victims," according to a news alert.
The incidents took place:
• At 3 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Hoyne Avenue
• At 3:10 a.m. in the 2000 block of West Shakespeare Avenue
• At 4:10 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Wilmot Street
Anyone with information on the crimes is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8263.
