CHICAGO — Shootings have killed one person and wounded eight since Wednesday, police said.

• At 1:06 p.m. Wednesday, 16-year-old Kahari Stovall was shot dead in North Lawndale. A 19-year-old man was wounded in the attack.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 12:35 a.m. Thursday, a 19-year-old man and 24-year-old man were shot in Humboldt Park.

• At 10:22 p.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man was shot in Grand Boulevard, police said. The man was sitting in a parked car in the 4600 block of South Wabash Avenue when someone in a black car pulled up and fired shots.

The man was hit in his lower back and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 4:31 p.m., a 32-year-old man was shot in Gage Park, police said. The man was walking in the 3500 block of West 51st Street when someone in a gold-colored SUV pulled up and fired four or five shots at him.

The man was hit in his elbow and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.

• At 2:42 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was walking in the 600 block of North Waller Avenue when a car pulled up and a man got out of it and fired shots.

The victim was hit multiple times and taken to Loyola Hospital in critical condition, police said.

• At 12:37 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Belmont Cragin, police said. The man was parking his car in the 2400 block of North Meade Avenue when he was shot in his lower back.

The man took himself to Community First Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.
