CHICAGO — If you've been looking for an excuse to dive into spring cleaning, the stacks of old papers piling up in the basement could be a good place to start.

Ald. Anthony Napolitano (41st) will hold a free paper shredding event on Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 7271 W. Talcott Ave., his office announced.

The event, which runs from 10 a.m.-noon, will also accept electronics for recycling. But anyone who brings in a TV or computer monitor will need to fill out a voucher online.

For anyone who misses the event, another paper shredding event will be held from 9 a.m.-noon on April 15. That event, hosted by 41st Ward Democratic Committeeman Tim Heneghan, is set for St. Eugene Church, 7958 W. Foster Ave.
