Donald White, 29, Dies 1 Week After West Englewood Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — Donald White, 29, died one week after being shot in West Englewood, officials said.

At 3:20 p.m. March 24, the man was in the 1700 block of West 72nd Street when he was shot in his torso, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.

White, of the 7200 block of South Honore, was pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m. Friday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from complications from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.

An 18-year-old man was also wounded in the attack, police said. He was shot in his stomach and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in fair condition.

No one was in custody.
