CHICAGO — Peir Minor, 23, was fatally shot in Austin on Saturday night, officials said.
At 11:40 p.m., the man was sitting in a parked car in the 5200 block of West Chicago Avenue when two men walked up and fired shots, police said.
The man was hit in his head and chest, police said.
Minor, of the 1000 block of North LeClaire, was pronounced dead at 12:33 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The shooters ran away and no one was in custody, police said.
The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.
