Rogers Park Shooting Wounds Man, 35, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Rogers Park wounded a 35-year-old man early Friday, police said.

At 2:01 a.m., the man was smoking a cigarette outside in the 7600 block of North Sheridan Road when someone walked up and fired shots, police said.

The man was hit in his ankle and taken to St. Francis Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
