CHICAGO — Eden United Church of Christ, 5051 W. Gunnison St., will host a pancake breakfast Saturday to raise money for its church and community programs.

From 8 a.m.-noon, admission will entitle guests to pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and milk, according to the event announcement.

The proceeds will benefit church programs, which include "sharing arrangements" with groups like European Fencing Club, SuperSoccer, Jefferson Park Forward, Boy Scouts Troop 963 and various Girl Scout troops, according to the announcement.

Visitors will also be able to participate in a silent auction to raise money for the programs.

The breakfast is part of an effort to "make Jefferson Park a thriving community with neighborhood values like partnership, wholesome recreation and healthy families,” said the Rev. Jackie Belile, one of the event's organizers.

Tickets are $5 each if bought Friday, or $7 at the door. Children under 5 will be admitted for free.
