Romille McCall, 23, Killed in Austin Shooting

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man died on Thursday, a day after being shot in Austin, police said.

At 6:37 p.m. Wednesday, the man was in a car in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue when he was shot in his back and arm, police said. The man took himself to West Suburban Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was moved to Stroger Hospital, where he later died, police said.

Romille McCall, of suburban Cicero, was pronounced dead at 2:25 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one was in custody.
