AUBURN GRESHAM — St. Sabina Church and the City of Chicago will host a "Gun Buy Back" event Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the church, 1210 W. 78th Place.

Anyone who turns in a gun will receive a $100 gift card — no questions asked.

Anyone who turns in a BB gun, air gun or replica gun will get a $10 gift card.

"A reduction in firearms on the streets will bring about a reduction in firearms crimes," said Rev. Michael Pfleger in a statement. "Our city has been ravaged by gun violence and we must do something to change that.”

There will also be opportunities for teens to sign up for summer jobs and for adults to sign up for GED classes, employment programs and other activities at The Saint Sabina Ark Youth Center.
