Donovan Swint, 25, Dies Nearly 1 Month After Calumet Heights Shooting

CHICAGO — Donovan Swint, 25, has died several weeks after being shot in Calumet Heights, officials said.

On Feb. 22, the man was a passenger in a car in the 9100 block of South Oglesby Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said. He was shot in his back and took himself to Trinity Hospital in serious condition.

Swint, of the 9300 block of South Chappel, was pronounced dead at 3:47 p.m. Thursday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The incident has been reclassified as a murder, police said.

No one was in custody.
