GRAND BOULEVARD — The Wentworth Police District will be out in force Saturday night watching for drunken drivers.

The district, which covers the area east of the Dan Ryan Expressway from 35th Street to roughly 61st Street, will have a special DUI saturation patrol from 6 p.m. Saturday-2 a.m. Sunday.

Police will be roving the district, which includes portions of South Lake Shore Drive, looking for impaired drivers, speeders, people not wearing their seatbelts and other scofflaws.

Police also targeted drunken drivers in the district on Saturday. The special patrols typically rotate among many districts.

The Near North District will see a drunken driving crackdown on Friday, St. Patrick's Day.
