CHICAGO — A 16-year-old girl has been charged in connection to the stabbing of a 25-year-old woman Saturday in Grand Crossing, police said.
At 12:50 a.m., the woman was inside a home in the 7500 block of South Prairie Avenue when she got into an argument with a girl and the girl grabbed a knife and stabbed the woman, police said.
The woman was stabbed multiple times in her left arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.
A 16-year-old girl was arrested and charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, police said.
Police originally thought the stabbing was domestic-related but later said it was not.
