CHICAGO — A shooting in Chicago Lawn killed Clarence Thart, 29, on Monday night, officials said.
At 6:30 p.m., the man was sitting in a car in the 6400 block of South Claremont Avenue when he was shot, police said.
The man was hit in his neck and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Thart, of the 6500 block of South Claremont Avenue, was pronounced dead at 7:03 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
