CHICAGO — Daryn Beach, 24, was gunned down and a man wounded in a shooting in Auburn Gresham early Tuesday, officials said.
At 1:19 a.m., the two were sitting in a car in a parking lot in the 1300 block of West 76th Street when two people walked up and one of them took out a gun and fired shots at the car, police said.
The woman was hit in her head and taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital, police said.
Beach, of suburban Calumet City, was pronounced dead at 1:36 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
The man, 35, was hit three times in his stomach, once in his chin and once in his hand, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
No one was in custody.
