CHICAGO — It should be a rainy, warm day, with thunderstorms hitting in the evening, the National Weather Service predicts.

Showers started Monday morning, said Amy Seeley, a National Weather Service meteorologist, and thunderstorms are expected to hit by evening but end before daybreak Tuesday.

The storms will bring gusty winds that could hit 40 mph, Seeley said. She said it wasn't clear how much rain the city will get.

Temperatures will be in the 60s throughout the day, Seeley said.
