CHICAGO — Antoine Watkins, 22, was shot to death in Austin on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
At 12:13 p.m., officers found the man unresponsive and lying face-down in the 5400 block of West Ohio Street, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Waktins, of the 600 block of North Long Avenue, was pronounced dead at 12:33 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died from multiple gunshot wounds in a homicide.
The death was the first fatal shooting in nearly a week in Chicago.
No one was in custody.
