Delivery Drivers Robbed In Ashburn, Police Warn

CHICAGO — Police are warning of robbers targeting delivery drivers in Ashburn.

During the robberies, a thief or thieves ordered food from a restaurant and robbed the delivery driver who came to drop it off, according to a Chicago Police business alert.

The robberies occurred:

• 10:01 p.m. Feb. 9 in the 8000 block of South Sacramento Avenue

• 4:15 p.m. Feb. 13 in the 7900 block of South Richmond Street

• 12:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the 7900 block of South Richmond Street

• 9:38 a.m. Feb. 23 in the 8000 block of South Mozart Street

• 7:40 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 8000 block of South Richmond Street

• 1 p.m. Feb. 28 in the 8000 block of South Mozart Street

The thieves were described as black boys or men who were 16-25 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-11 and weighed 120-185 pounds, police said.
