CHICAGO — Shootings have wounded five people since Monday, police said.

• Most recently, at 3:01 a.m. Tuesday, a 40-year-old man was shot in Hermosa, police said. The man was walking down the street in the 3100 block of North Kilbourn Avenue when someone got out of a car and fired shots at him.

He was hit in his side and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition, police said.

• At 1:10 a.m., a 49-year-old livery driver was shot in Washington Park, police said. The driver was picking up a passenger in the 6200 block of South Indiana Avenue when the passenger took out a gun and said he was robbing the driver.

The driver grabbed the gun and was shot in his finger, police said. He got out of the car and the shooter drove away in it.

The driver was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.

• At 6:13 p.m. Monday, a 33-year-old man and 37-year-old man were shot in Garfield Park, police said. The men were sitting in a parked car in the 2900 block of West Fulton Street when someone shot at them. They reversed their car and hit another parked car.

One man, 33, was hit in his pelvic area and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said. The 37-year-old man was hit in his armpit and taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.

• At 12:57 p.m., a 30-year-old man was shot in Washington Heights, police said. The man was in the 9500 block of South Bishop Street when he was shot in his face and neck.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
