DOWNTOWN — A tornado watch has been issued for Chicago.
The watch, which includes northern Illinois and northwest Indiana, comes with a storm that will hit later in the afternoon and into the night, said Amy Seeley, a National Weather Service meteorologist.
There could be isolated tornadoes that pop up, Seeley said, but there's a "better risk" the tornadoes will form south of the city.
The storm could also bring large hail, damaging winds and flooding, Seeley said. Chicago could get hit with up to 1 inch of rain, Seeley said.
