LITTLE VILLAGE — A man charged with murder in a 2012 shooting on the Dan Ryan Expy. was accidentally let out of jail Monday after being sentenced for a separate crime.

Now the Cook County Sheriff's Office needs help finding Garrett Glover, 29.

Glover was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for a 2014 case of attempted armed robbery case, authorities said. While awaiting trial, Glover picked up another charge for his alleged involvement in the fatal 2012 shooting on the Dan Ryan Expy., the sheriff's office said.

Since the new case has not gone to trial, Glover should have been returned to Cook County Jail, but instead, state Department of Corrections officials released him.

The sheriff's office is "investigating the circumstances surrounding his release," according to a spokeswoman.

Anyone with information is asked to call 773-674-0169.

Aiding a fugitive is a felony punishable by one to three years in prison.
