CHICAGO — Shootings killed four people and wounded 12 over the weekend, police said.
One person was killed and a shooting wounded a teenage boy Sunday.
• At 6:27 p.m. Sunday, a 15-year-old boy was shot in Austin, police said. The boy was in the first block of South Mayfield Avenue when someone walked up to him and fired shots.
The boy was hit multiple times throughout his body and taken to Loyola Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
• At 10:48 a.m., a shooting in North Lawndale killed a 23-year-old man.
No one was in custody in these shootings.
Shootings killed one person and wounded eight between Saturday and Sunday, and shooting killed two people and wounded three Friday to Saturday.
