Uptown Shooting Wounds Man, 22, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in Uptown wounded a 22-year-old man on Tuesday night, police said.

At 7:20 p.m., the man was standing in the street in the 5100 block of North Winthrop Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain, police said.

The man was hit in his left calf and took himself to St. Francis Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

No one was in custody.
