CHICAGO — A motorcyclist ran away after hitting a taxi on the Magnificent Mile — leaving his injured female passenger behind, police say.
At 10:56 p.m., the motorcyclist ran a red light near the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue and hit a taxi, police said. The motorcyclist ran away but was soon caught, police said.
A woman who had been on the motorcycle was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said. There were no other reported injuries.
The motorcyclist was arrested and charged with fleeing or alluding police, driving on a suspended license, disobeying a red light and not having insurance, police said.
