CHICAGO — Shootings have killed two people and wounded eight since Monday, police said.

• At 6:14 a.m. Tuesday, a 24-year-old man was shot and killed in Englewood.

• At 8:14 p.m. Monday, a man in his 20s was found shot to death in a field in Riverdale.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 10:45 p.m. Monday, a 27-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said. The victim walked into a building in the 7800 block of South Marshfield Avenue and, while in the vestibule, a man walked up to him from behind and shot him.

The man was hit in his right leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:40 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in Hermosa, police said. The teen was walking through an alley in the 1900 block of North Lowell Avenue when someone in a black car fired shots at him.

He was hit in his left leg and taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

He is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 9:35 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Roseland, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 10300 block of South Vernon Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his left thigh and left foot and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

He is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 9:07 p.m., a 26-year-old man was shot in Woodlawn, police said. The man was in a home in the 6300 block of South Eberhart Avenue when he got into an argument with his 54-year-old roommate, police said.

The argument escalated and the roommate took out a gun, shot the man and ran away, police said.

The man was hit in his neck and taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition, police said.

• At 7:07 p.m., a 24-year-old man was shot while standing outside in Logan Square.

• At 3:45 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in West Englewood, police said. The man was in the 7400 block of South Damen Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in his arm and took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.

He is a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 11:15 a.m., a 22-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were shot in Austin, police said. The two were outside in the 5500 block of West Race Avenue when someone walked up to them from behind and fired shots.

The man was hit in his buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and the woman was hit in her chest and taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. They were in good condition.

No one was in custody in these shootings unless otherwise noted.
