Firefighter Injured In Far South Side Blaze

CHICAGO — A firefighter and two people were injured during a Sunday night fire on the Far South Side, officials said.

The fire started at a home in the 10100 block of South LaSalle Street, said Cmdr. Walter Schroeder. The blaze started about 11 p.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.

Two people were injured and taken to Roseland Community Hospital. One person was in fair to serious condition and the other person was in good condition, Schroeder said.

A firefighter who had an "extremity injury" was taken to Mercy Hospital in good condition, Schroeder said.
