IRVING PARK — Ald. Deb Mell (33rd) is the latest to introduce participatory budgeting to her constituents, asking for their suggestions in the spending of $1.32 million in aldermanic "menu" money.
The dollars, received annually by each ward in the city, are earmarked for projects including street resurfacing, street lighting and other infrastructure improvements.
Residents can now identify projects in need of funding by providing feedback through a number of channels:
• An online survey allows people to attach images of the trouble spot (click here).

• Visit the ward office at 3001 W. Irving Park Road.
Suggestions will be accepted through March 31.
