CHICAGO — Walter Long Jr., 24, was stabbed to death in River West on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
At 3:20 p.m., officers responding to a call of a person stabbed found the unresponsive man in the 400 block of North Clinton Street, police said. The man had gotten into a fight with another person, and the other person took out a knife and stabbed the man in his upper left torso.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Long, of the 5900 block of West Walton Street, was pronounced dead at 3:52 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Officers were questioning a person of interest.
