UPTOWN — Uptown residents have a classy new watering hole along Lawrence Avenue.

Larry's, a neighborhood bar located in the lobby of the freshly renovated Lawrence House, 1020 W. Lawrence Ave., officially opened this week following last week's soft opening, according to a press release from Cedar Street.

The "relaxed sanctuary" for residents of the Lawrence House and its neighbors features an eight drink cocktail menu, local brews, curated whiskeys and a rotating wine list, the release said.

Michael Salvatore, owner of Heritage Bicycles, worked with Wade Hall McElroy and Jeff Donahue, of Leisure Activities, to develop the menu "that gives a subtle nod to the area," according to Salvatore.

“Our focus is on quality and simplicity using seasonal flavors to complement the cozy, eclectic interior of the Lawrence House," he said.

FLATS Chicago unveiled the renovated Lawrence House with a soiree in June.

The collectibles displayed in the bar were curated by the Andersonville antiques store Scout.
