CHICAGO — Englewood has been hit by four armed robberies since the end of December, police said.
During the incidents, the thief or thieves walk or drive up to someone, take out a gun and rob them, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
The robberies occurred:
• 9:45 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 6500 block of South Ashland Avenue
• 11:40 a.m. Dec. 30 in the 6500 block of South Marshfield Avenue
• 4:38 p.m. Jan. 6 in the 6400 block of South Hermitage Avenue
• 2:50-4:30 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 1600 block of West 61st Street
The robbers were described as one to toys men with a woman, police said. The men were 20-45 years old.
