CHICAGO — A 54-year-old man was robbed and stabbed at a Blue Line station in the Loop on Tuesday night, police said.

At 10 p.m., the man was standing on the Jackson Blue Line platform in the 300 block of South Dearborn Street when four men walked up to him and said they were robbing the man, police said. The group began to beat the victim, and one person took out a knife and stabbed the man in his buttocks.

The group took the victim's money and ran away, police said. The man took himself to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available, but he was listed as "stable," police said.

No one was in custody.
