CHICAGO — Jonas Haynes, 55, was found stabbed to death in South Chicago early Monday, officials said.
At 12:35 a.m., officers were doing a wellbeing check when they found the man inside a home in the 8500 block of South Colfax Avenue, police said. He had been stabbed in his chest.
Haynes, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 12:52 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
