CHICAGO — Jordi Ibarra, 23, was shot and killed in Belmont Cragin on Sunday, officials said.
At 5:35 p.m., officers were responding to a call of a person shot when they found the man in the 6200 block of West Grand Avenue, police said.
The man had been shot in his head and was taken to Loyola Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Ibarra, of the 2300 block of North Melvina, was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
He was a documented gang member, a police source said.
No one was in custody.
